Nana's Year

nana and Papa 1

Last year was mostly just a long hard road to losing Dick.  he passed away October 3rd.  Although we all knew it was coming, it was still a shock.  I am grateful to all my family for all their support.  As hard as it was, there were many bright spots including my continued participation in my women’s bible study and many family visits. One of the sweetest things was that I had prayed that God would spare Dick until he accepted Jesus. Then one day Dick told me he had accepted Jesus when he was 5 years old and he would prefer heaven to hell.  I thanked God for His mercy and Dick passed away peacefully that night.  We had a very nice memorial service for him at Lynda & Ray’s home.  It was good to see Dick’s nephews and their families.

I look forward to what 2015 will bring.  The family is planning an Alaskan cruise so maybe I will have that to write about next year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Love,
Elsie

  1. It’s been a long year and finally some closure regarding Dick. We are proud of how you have handled everything and your selfless service to him over the years has been inspirational. I pray Lynda will be half as good to me as you were to Dick.

Merry Christmas and blessings in the new year!
