Just to keep things interesting around the Barbieri
household, Lynda took up costuming for the King’s Academy’s spring musical in
addition to taking a landscaping design class.
This switch from engineer to designer has been a bit of a challenge and
she would be the first to admit that it is far from complete. Nevertheless, by God’s grace, the costumes
looked great and she was able to complete the semester.
Summer brought a fantastic trip to the Baltic as her Mom’s
traveling companion. Her Dad refused to
go so Lynda got to use his ticket. The
trip included a few days in and around London
and then a cruise that visited all of the Scandinavian capitals plus St Petersburg, Russia
and Tallin, Estonia. It was a great trip and we have lots of
pictures that we are happy to loan out to those of our friends who are
suffering from insomnia.
With fall came a new challenge at school – graphic drawing
class. Very intimidating for a girl who
believed her 3rd grade art teacher when she told her that she
couldn’t draw! Turns out that the old
art teacher wasn’t entirely correct.
Lynda won’t be quitting her day-job to become an artist, but can draw
enough to get the idea of trees and houses across.
You’ll be happy to know that Ray and Lynda have moved back
into their master bedroom – although in true Barbieri style it’s not quite
finished. J
May God be with you through the coming year!
